Over many years of experience, we know that there is a strong market for people who want to try the sport of archery. However, for you to provide such a service to your clients, can be a costly venture, as you will undoubtedly have to purchase and maintain equipment, have your staff appropriately trained and qualified, and keep up to date with all necessary archery safety and Child Protection Guidelines.

MRM Archery can look after all of these aspects on your behalf, and reduce your potential overheads. We guarantee that all of our equipment is maintained to the highest standards so that your clients have the experience that they expect from you. All of our staff are fully experienced in archery instruction and are members of the PVG Scheme.

Our staff have over 60 years experience in providing archery instruction and we maintain cover of £10m of Public Liability Insurance. We have a very strong Child Protection ethos and have developed a robust Child Protection policy that provides you with the confidence in our management of the archery activities. We provide archery instruction for all age groups above the recommended age of 10. (We may provide archery services for children younger than this, but this is always by prior arrangement).

Archery Instructor Award - since November 2014 MRM Archery staff have been accredited by Archery GB to act as Tutors and Assessors for this course and we can provide the necessary training for this qualification. This qualification is designed to be used by professionals and volunteers working outside of the Archery GB club structure, for example  in sport centres, outdoor education centres, adventure and holiday parks and youth associations. To gain the qualification you require no previous archery experience, you need to be 17 years old and training can be arranged to suit the needs of your staff.

archerystance300Archery Teachers Award – archery in schools has helped children increase confidence and self esteem, focus and attention and have fun. Teachers can receive a qualification to introduce archery as a school or after school activity. MRM Archery staff are accredited by Archery GB to act as Tutors and Assessors for the Teachers Award course and we can provide the necessary training for this qualification. This qualification is designed to be used by teachers /teaching assistants working in both primary and secondary pupils. To gain this qualification you require no previous archery experience and training can be arranged to suit the needs of your staff.

 Archery is a great sport for team building, concentration, self discipline, and bringing out the competitive spirit of participants – your ‘team’ will benefit from the disciplines and techniques gained by doing archery.

Having competed at International level ourselves we are eager to help other archers achieve the knowledge, experience and success which we have achieved. 

No matter how long you have been shooting a dedicated Coach can help guide and inspire you to greater scores and success. Why not give us a try?

Our individual coaching will focus on improving your shooting technique, designing a robust shooting plan, addressing obstacles which prevent higher scores, goal setting, body alignment and in depth equipment tuning.

Coaching packages can be arranged at an hourly rate (minimum of 3 hours) for individuals and groups of up to 8 people. 



Performance Coaching:

Performance coaching is targeted at archers with some knowledge of archery and who have purchased their own equipment and we will:

  • focus on improving your technique and helping you improve your scores
  • assist you in getting a better understanding of your equipment and how it works
  • ensuring your body is in the optimum position to execute the perfect shot
  • assist you in putting together a shooting plan  and
  • the basics of equipment tuning and maintenance.

Student numbers are limited to ensure a low instructor / student ratio – so book early to avoid disappointment .

Are you fed up with the same old activities at your Stag or Hen Party?  Are you looking for something different to do - then Archery may just be the activity for you.

To ensure your Stag or Hen party or your Friends’ Get Together gains the most enjoyment from the activity we recommend that group sizes are not greater than 25 (minimum 8) .  An archery only activity will give you 2 hours of exciting archery tuition together with challenges, competition and lots of fun.

We can either offer you an archery only activity or if you wish to combine this with another activity at one of our three Central Scotland locations please contact us for details and we can put together a package suitable for your group. Please note that we (and our venues) operate a strict no alcohol policy.

Children’s Parties

We can also cater for children’s birthday parties (maximum 20, minimum 8). Why not try our 2 hours of fun filled enjoyment with games, balloons, challenges and lots and lots of prizes?

We can cater for your group either at your own venue, hotel etc, depending on space available, or at one of our 3 Central Scotland locations.

shootingline300Archery is always a great crowd puller at any Country Fair or Highland Games. MRM Archery provides a great archery experience on a ‘come & try’ basis. We will provide all the necessary equipment, maintained to the highest standards.

In addition to providing full archery tuition we will undertake a risk assessment of the venue and provide you with a full written report.
 

MRM Archery has successfully offered an archery 'Come & Try' at the Blackford Highland Games, Gourock Highland Games, Stirling Classic Car Show, Carrick Lowland Gathering, Castle Gordon Highland Games, Calderglen Park Country Fair, Chatelherault Highland Games, The Luss Highland Gathering, The Knoydart Music Festival, Strathaven Agricultural Show and continues to add new venues each year.

Our staff have over 60 years experience in providing archery tuition and we maintain cover of £10m of Public Liability Insurance. We fully comply with the most rigorous safety standards, based on the guidelines approved by both Archery GB and Scottish Archery and our staff carry are members of the PVG scheme.

A comprehensive Risk Assessment report may be beneficial to meet the needs of your insurers.

This will give you the peace of mind of knowing that you can offer a safe venue for archery.

There is a one off fee for us to undertake a risk assessment of your venue. However, if you then book an archery event at your venue the Risk Assessment will be done at a discounted rate.

archerystance300Director Moira Taylor was Child Protection Officer for Scottish Archery for more than 7 years and was a member of the Scotland wide multi-agency child protection group of National Governing Bodies of Sport.
